Dr. O’Donnell is an ABPN Board Certified psychiatrist in private practice in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Dr. O’Donnell graduates from Villanova University Summa Cum Laude 2002. She received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, AOA and Cum Laude 2006 and completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Pennsylvania, where she served as chief resident 2009-2010.
Dr. O’Donnell is committed to treating suffering throughout the life cycle with special attention to the role of positive psychology and holistic interventions. She uses the lowest dose of medications targeted to symptom management and quality of life. She utilizes therapeutic interventions from evidence based programs like DBT and ACT. She works collaboratively with patients, including college students, people struggling with addiction and women facing transitions like pregnancy and parenting.
Dr. O’Donnell has extensive experience in teaching and training. Additionally, she holds specialized certifications in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from the Center for Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania.
